Attendees will also explore flexible variations that allow the program to fit congregations of different sizes and settings, making it an adaptable ministry resource for any church community.
Standards-based learning. This is a trend in education, but not all standards lend themselves to showing what students have learned. Let's get together & talk Early Childhood! We'll catch our breath, celebrate successes, discuss challenges, and learn from each other. And since we're talking EC, we'll more than likely share some laughs, too! The facilitator looks forward to meeting you all and learning how to best support you. She will give an early childhood update from across the synod, look to learn more about what early childhood ministry means in the Nebraska District, and share available resources. Come join the conversation! Be encouraged and help encourage!

Introducing an "activity" model that utilizes evidence-based argumentation in order to form explanations of phenomena, laws, theories, etc. in order to answer a bigger question. Through hands-on examples and videos you will be able to participate in activities associated with a motor lab. In this sectional you will learn the goals of having your students participate in a motor lab on a consistent basis. Some of the goals include:
Improve a child's ability to maneuver and function in their environment leading them to better performances in school tasks (handwriting, sitting still, paying attention, speaking and behavior)
Stimulate the child's sensory systems
Ability to better control themselves and accomplish tasks by making children aware of their environment and learning about the sensations of his/her own movement
Create a base for the skill building of physical education
Build a structure for the acquisition of academic skills
Gyms are handy to have at your school in order to conduct a motor lab, but NOT a necessity. Modifications can be made in smaller areas and possibly even your classroom.
These guys live in a city of about 1.5 million people, and almost half of those people are Mormon. The Lutheran Church and School they serve is about 100 feet away from a Mormon church, and there are 13 more Mormon churches within 3 miles. This presentation is a behind-the-scenes look at how principal and pastors work closely together to live out a harvest strategy in the mission field of Salt Lake City, Utah. The importance of a relational ministry will resonate with school leaders regardless of their setting.
